What is Protect3™️
Protect3 is a ¼” (6mm) thick glazing material consisting of fire-rated wire glass with a surface-applied fire-rated and impact-safety rated film. It’s UL classified and labeled for fire ratings up to 90 minutes with hose stream, and meets impact-safety ratings under ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16CFR1201 (Cat. I and II). Protect3 is a strong fit for high-traffic areas requiring fire-rated glazing in schools, hospitals, institutions, and commercial buildings.

Installation & Care
Protect3 must be installed into fire-rated frame and window assemblies carrying the same rating, using the glazing compound specified for your rating (e.g., pure silicone caulk or an approved equivalent). Lites should be inspected for edge or surface damage before installation and handled carefully during transport and storage. Clean with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and mild detergent only.
