EVA Interlayer (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate)

Laminating with EVA interlayers and combining materials such as coloured films, mesh, metals, fabrics, wood veneers and more into glass can result into some truly unique and innovative effects. Not only glass can be laminated. Take design to the next level. EVA interlayer provides several multi-functional glazing advantages, such as enhanced safety, endless design combinations, and thermal and sound insulation. It performs spectacularly in terms of bonding strength and structural integrity.

Common Applications: decorative glass, indoor structures, partitions, doors, wall cabinets, counters, table tops & more.

SGX Interlayer (SentriGlas):

Laminating with SGX interlayers can open up a world of limitless design possibilities, enabling builders, engineers, and designers to create innovative spaces that exhibit strength, durability and transparency. SGX interlayers makes the glass much stronger and protects against high impacts. It is often being specified on applications where single tempered glass is no longer acceptable from a performance level. It retains its character and maintains a residual barrier, even after the glass is broken. It can be exposed to weather and does not need to be framed all while maintaining outstanding clarity.

Common Applications: internal and external balustrades, guardrails, floors, stair and landing panels, facades, overhead glazing and more.

Raw Glass is proudly approved as a certified laminator for SentriGlass interlayer products.

The rise in Laminated Glass – adding safety and durability to modern design! Glass creates a sense of openness and transparency, and so is progressively becoming more important in architecture. The various application of this transparent building material has put great demands on laminated safety glass.

Modern construction without laminated glass is no more an option to meet the design and building professionals needs and at the same time meet building codes and regulations. By investing in laminating glass equipment complete with edge polishing machinery that can produce glass up to 40 mm thick with a max size of 2000mm x 3100mm, we at Raw Glass have the capabilities to provide both structural and decorative laminated glass to our customers.

Laminated glass is the process of combining two or more panels of glass with an interlayer placed in between the panes of glass to create a permanent bond. The type of interlayer will determine the overall application. Including structural and functional interlayers for safety and security applications, sound insulation and UV protection (SGX) or for decorative applications for interior design projects (EVA).
